Pro C7500PM 5-Color MICR Printer
The Pro C7500PM prints at 2400 x 4800 dpi with an optional fifth color station, which is what makes an invisible security feature possible in the same pass as the check itself.
SpecificationsProduction MICR systems run nightly cycles where a rejected batch is a missed settlement window, not an inconvenience. These machines are built for continuous duty and measured in impressions per month rather than pages per day.
Two paths exist in this class. The monochrome systems push volume: up to a million impressions a month, with media capacity measured in thousands of sheets across up to eight pick points. Those are the Ricoh Pro 8410 and Pro 8420 and the Pro 8310 and Pro 8320, and Ricoh names them on its own MICR printing page. The five-color systems are the Ricoh Pro C7500 and Pro C7210X, both of which Ricoh sells under our model names with MICR. They trade some volume for the ability to print the check background, the security features, and the MICR line in one pass, which removes pre-printed color stock from the process entirely.

The Pro C7500PM prints at 2400 x 4800 dpi with an optional fifth color station, which is what makes an invisible security feature possible in the same pass as the check itself.
Specifications
The Pro 8410M runs at 111 pages per minute and the Pro 8420M at 136, both at 1200 x 4800 dpi, with media capacity reaching 12,600 sheets.
Specifications
The Pro 8310M and Pro 8320M run at 111 and 136 pages per minute with up to eight media pick points, which is what a mixed run of checks, IRDs, and carbonless forms actually needs.
Specifications
The Pro C7210XM carries five drums as standard rather than as an upgrade, which puts the invisible security station in every configuration.
SpecificationsRecommended monthly volume is the number to choose on, not top speed. A printer run close to its maximum duty cycle month after month wears its fuser and drum faster, and worn components are a common cause of a weak MICR signal.

A five-station engine carries four process colors and a fifth station, which is what allows color and MICR in one pass.

Size on volume, not on speed
Recommended monthly volumes. The IP C8500M, Pro 8410M / 8420M and Pro 8310M / 8320M figures are maximum monthly volumes. Maximum duty cycle is a survival rating. Running near it wears the fuser and drum, and worn parts weaken the MICR signal.
If your bank reports a MICR quality problem, we investigate it. Where the problem is verified as caused by our materials or modifications and cannot be resolved, we reimburse the fees your bank charges for rejected checks over their acceptable rate.
Conditions apply, including the use of approved supplies, our MICR fonts, and continuous maintenance under an approved service plan.
The class is decided by what you print in a month, not by the speed on the front of the brochure. Tell us the volume and we will tell you which one, including when the answer is a smaller machine than you expected.
