An engine your service organization knows
The Pro 8410M and Pro 8420M are built on the Ricoh Pro 8410 and Pro 8420. Parts and technicians come from a network that does not depend on a single MICR vendor.
Xerox has stopped making the Nuvera. We replace it with a Ricoh production engine re-engineered for MICR, installed, certified against ANSI specifications and supported around the clock, on a date you choose.

In April 2024 Xerox announced it would discontinue manufacturing Nuvera presses, with orders filled through 2024 or while inventory lasted. Xerox has said it will support existing presses through the life of their contracts.
That makes your service contract's end date the real deadline. Before it, the press runs and a part can be found. After it, every fault on settlement night is a risk you are carrying alone. The operations that come through this cleanly are the ones that choose their switch date while the old press still runs.
A production MICR printer is a one-way decision for years at a time. It deserves a survey, a certified install and a bank test, not a rushed order placed the week a fuser fails.

We re-engineer proven Ricoh production engines into MICR printers rather than building a proprietary machine. Ricoh lists the Pro 8410 and Pro 8420 on its own MICR printing page. What we add is everything that decides whether a bank reader/sorter accepts the check.
The Pro 8410M and Pro 8420M are built on the Ricoh Pro 8410 and Pro 8420. Parts and technicians come from a network that does not depend on a single MICR vendor.
ProMark™ MICR toner is the first polyester-based MICR toner in the industry, formulated per print engine and independently tested at a 0.1% reject rate or lower on an IBM 3890 reader/sorter.
Installation and MICR certification are included with every production MICR printer. Output is measured on an RDM Check Verifier against ANSI specifications before your operators run a live job.
Rated speed tells you how long a run takes. Monthly volume tells you whether the machine lasts. We size on the second and confirm the first.
| If you run | We replace it with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Nuvera 100 or 120 | Pro 8410M, 111 pages per minute | The same speed class on one engine, rated to a maximum of 1,000,000 impressions a month. |
| Nuvera 144 or 157 | Pro 8420M, 136 pages per minute, or two engines | One Pro 8420M where the peak month fits a single engine. Two side by side where it does not, which also leaves one running while the other is serviced. |
| Nuvera 288 or 314 | Two or more Pro 8410M / 8420M | The dual-engine Nuvera becomes parallel engines. Capacity is sized to your peak month, and a single fault never stops the whole run. |
| Any Nuvera, plus a color job | Pro C7500PM, 85 pages per minute, 95 with the speed upgrade | Full-color checks and the MICR line in one pass, up to 240,000 pages a month, with an optional fifth station for invisible security marks. |
Nuvera speeds are Xerox ratings in images per minute. Pro 8410M / 8420M figures are maximum monthly volumes; the Pro C7500PM figure is its recommended monthly volume.

The survey happens weeks ahead, so install day is a certification, not a discovery.
Your Nuvera model, your peak monthly impressions, a sample check from the current run, and how jobs reach the press today. That is enough to size the replacement.
Our specialists and Ricoh technicians visit before anything ships. The survey settles power, floor space, the data path into the printer, and who is responsible for each task on the day.
The Ricoh engine is converted to a MICR-only printer and loaded with ProMark™ MICR toner. Output is tested on an RDM Check Verifier against ANSI specifications before your operators take over.
Your team is trained on operation, TCRU usage and MICR fundamentals at the same visit. Send test items to your bank before the first live run, then retire the Nuvera on your own schedule.
The printer, the toner and the fonts come from us. If your bank reports a MICR quality problem, we investigate it with your bank, and where our materials caused it, the MICR Performance Guarantee covers the bank fees for rejected checks over your bank's acceptable rate.
Five conditions apply together: a Rosetta Technologies branded printer purchased in the United States or Canada, from us or an authorized reseller, run on approved supplies and our MICR fonts, and maintained under an approved service plan.
Xerox has said it will support Nuvera presses through the life of their contracts. The date your service contract ends is the date to plan against.
The site survey happens weeks before delivery, so start the conversation well ahead of your contract end date or your next major volume change.
Bring a sample. We test your stock in our printers as part of a consultation, so you know before the switch whether it performs with our toner.
The survey confirms how jobs reach the printer today and what the replacement needs. Our CheckStream software composes the whole check on blank stock if you want to move composition off the host as well.
Production printers qualify for 4-Hour Response coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. On the business-hours plan we take the first call and Ricoh handles on-site service. Choose the plan when you order.

Tell us the model, your peak month and when your service contract ends. We will come back with a sized replacement and a survey date.
