Support

Four kinds of help, and the one number that starts all of them

Our customers run these printers for mission-critical work, which means a machine that stops is a payment run, a claims file, or a returns deadline that stops with it. Support has to answer quickly and it has to answer specifically.

Our hardware and software technicians handle the routine maintenance question and the complex hardware or software issue through the same phone number. Whether the answer is a setting, a shipped replacement device, or a technician on site depends on the plan attached to the equipment.

Four kinds of help, all beginning on the same telephone number

  1. Service plans

  2. Technical support

    24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  3. Installation

    Three steps, ending in certification.

  4. Consultation

Evaluation of what you already run.

A technician is dispatched only when the telephone fails

You call, we diagnose, and it is either fixed on the call or a device ships and a visit is scheduled. Technical support answers around the clock on (800) 937-4224.

Toner and consumables are not covered by a service plan.

Technical support comes with everything

Technicians are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That coverage is included with all service plans and with every printer purchase, so there is no separate enrollment and nothing to activate before the first call.

Phone support is also the first step of every service plan. A device exchange or a technician dispatch happens only when the problem cannot be resolved on the phone, which is why the plans describe what happens after that call rather than instead of it.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm ET. Technician availability is separate from office hours.

A service plan is a condition of the guarantee

Continuous maintenance under an approved service plan is one of the five conditions of the MICR Performance Guarantee. The reason is mechanical: the fuser bonds toner to the sheet, bonding quality is signal strength, and wear in the paper path arrives later as a reject rate.

A service plan must be added at the time of purchase.
