Rosetta Technologies Introduces Workgroup All-In-One MICR Office Assistant
Rosetta Technologies, a leading provider of Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) printers and check and Image Replacement Document (IRD) software solutions, today announced the introduction of its newest MICR-capable all-in-one solution, the SP 4510SFM.
Designed for businesses that require reliable check printing capabilities in addition to everyday printing, copying, scanning and faxing, Rosetta Technologies' new SP 4510SFM provides a totally secure multifunction system that easily fits on a desktop to perform all these activities in one space-saving device.
Manufactured in partnership with Ricoh, the compact and affordable SP 4510SFM is a total communications hub for offices tight on space and budget. This 42-ppm multifunction printer employs Ricoh’s innovative LED imaging technology for outstanding output quality without sacrificing speed. An intuitive 4.3” color touch screen control panel supports advanced document production features and iron-clad security capabilities. A 50-sheet Automatic Reversing Document Feeder quickly scans originals, while automatic duplexing, an expandable paper supply and long lasting separate drum and toner supplies give users the power to produce thousands of pages every month – including regular documents and checks. Rosetta includes E13B and CMC7 MICR fonts plus a 6,000-page MICR toner cartridge with every machine.
"In designing the SP 4510SFM, we knew that one of the concerns that customers would have is the potential to waste MICR toner, or allow for the unauthorized reproduction of negotiable checks on an everyday machine", states Rob Hullar, Rosetta Technologies’ President. "That's why we built multiple security layers into the system. The SP 4510SFM is so intelligent it automatically knows what kind of toner is installed in the machine so users can safely perform all their business tasks."
Users can easily swap the MICR toner cartridge for the standard one in seconds. A MICR Toner Cartridge Sensing feature alerts users as to the type of toner installed, while Intelligent Job Sensing detects the type of job. If it is a check and the MICR toner cartridge is not present, the job will not print. Copy Block Protection disables the copy mode when the MICR toner is installed. Paper tray locks are available for all standard and optional media trays to keep valuable check stock secure. "We did all this because Rosetta understands that limits on our customer's space or budget should not impact their productivity", continued Hullar. "The SP 4510SFM is as equally at home in a small bank branch with high check printing volumes as it is in a small business to handle occasional payroll or expense check printing needs. It's the only device a small company with check printing requirements will ever need."
