How does OnSight work?


When X9 Electronic cash letters are downloaded from your provider’ssecure folder to the OnSight Incoming folder, OnSight transforms and prints the items as Image Replacement Documents (IRDs) that comply with the industry standard X9.100-140 specification for IRDs using industry-accepted business rules.

OnSight provides an easy-to-use interface that allows you to monitor the status of the files with color-coded alerts of file statuses like printing successes, warnings and failures. It manages the printing and reprinting of IRDs as well as advanced auditing and reporting functions.

What is the process for setting up OnSight and my provider's X9 file service?


Set up the OnSight software and printer by following the included Quick Start Guide, and use the included test file to confirm proper operation of the system. Then access your provider's secure folder to download the Federal Reserve test file, and test-print the file. After completing these steps, you are ready to cut over to live production of IRDs; contact your provider's account executive to schedule a “go live” date for receiving X9 files

Why can’t I use a regular laser printer to print my IRDs?


All IRDs are printed on blank IRD stock. As with checks, the Mmagnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) line containing the routing and account number must be printed with MICR ink or toner. Unlike checks, IRDs cannot be preprinted and then run through a regular printer. Therefore IRDs must be printed using a MICR laser printer.

Why can’t I use another MICR printer with OnSight?


Every laser printer engine behaves differently, and it is important to ensure that your IRDs are compliant with industry standards. The OnSight software and MICR printer have been designed to work together to ensure proper positioning of print elements on each IRD, plus reader-sorter acceptance of the MICR line. This reduces potential rejects of re-presented or re-deposited items due to image or MICR quality problems.

Additionally, the integration of the software and printer simplify system installation and trouble-shooting of any problems you may encounter using OnSight. It also provides an extra layer of security; any output from the OnSight software can only be printed using the OnSight MICR printer, eliminating the possibility of the output being redirected to another printer.

Can I return OnSight?


Customers may return OnSight to Rosetta Technologies within 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price, excluding original shipping charges. The system must be returned in good condition and working order with all components and all related documentation and manuals, and in its original packaging materials, ordinary wear and tear excepted. A valid Return Material Authorization must be received from Rosetta Technologies prior to returning the system.

What type of warranty is included?


A one-year Express Exchange service plan is included with OnSight. The Express Exchange plan covers defects in materials or workmanship that cannot be resolved through telephone assistance. Once authorized, a replacement printer is shipped at no charge overnight, and the defective printer is returned at no charge using the packing materials from the replacement printer.

How am I covered by the MICR Guarantee?


Should you experience bank-reported MICR quality or reject problems, Rosetta Technologies Corporation will work with you to investigate and resolve them. If we are unable to resolve the issues, Rosetta Technologies Corporation will reimburse you for fees you may be charged for rejected items.

What should I do if I have issues installing or using the printer?


A Quick Start installation and detailed user guide are included on the installation CD and should provide the necessary assistance in getting OnSight installed and fully functioning. However, if further assistance is required, a Rosetta technician is available Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET.

Are there any other products that would complement the functionality of OnSight?


Rosetta Technologies' X9 File Explorer is a software add-in that allows image cash letters to be easily viewed and edited. With X9 File Explorer you can investigate file data, identify problems such as corrupt files or those with missing data or images, and make corrections, all with just a few clicks of the mouse. With the add-in installed, OnSight users simply double-click a cash letter file to open it.

Rosetta Technologies’ X9Print View & Reprint is a software add-in that enables authorized users to retrieve and view previously printed cash letters. Entire cash letters or selected pages of IRDs may then be selected and submitted for reprinting with full security within OnSight. With the add-in installed, OnSight users simply double-click a previously printed cash letter file to open it.

You may also purchase additional OnSight user licenses or a compatible Rosetta MICR printer for disaster recovery purposes.

How soon after I place my order will it be shipped?


Most orders processed prior to 3 p.m. ET are shipped the next day. Other orders will ship in 2 days

Does the price include tax and shipping?


Neither are included. Once you've submitted your order a sales representative will call to confirm your order and give you the total cost.

What are my payment options?


You can choose to pay by credit/debit card or complete the credit application to set up net 30 terms with Rosetta Technologies.
